You know? I'm from Chile, most people don't know or recognize the show, and the reason I discovered Doctor Who was because I was trying to cheat on an English exam. And since then 10 years have passed... I discovered a show capable of showing me love, sadness, passion, hatred and friendship. I have never regretted discovering Doctor Who, and I don't think I will. Thank you for reminding me that.

Ultimately I didn’t really like this finale, It fell completely flat for me.

I don't normally comment but it'd bug me if I didn't tell you where you heard that line from Empire of Death before the ep came out. So from what I can see it was in a tv magazine that came out around a month ago (no idea what tv magazine) There's a little section of it where RTD gives a quote from every episode of the season and the quote from Empire of Death is exactly what you remember. It has Mel's name next to it so I imagine you saw that somewhere, read it in her voice, forgot about it and remembered it closer to the ep releasing. I found it on r/doctorwho, somebody took a picture of it and shared it there, didn't seem to get much response so I can't imagine many people saw it. Hope that clears up the confusion of where you saw that, love the podcast btw

I hope RTD can convince Peter and Jenna to change their minds about coming back so they can do a tales of the Tardis of Hell Bent.

Rogue was a lot of fun although I’m not sure I am particularly fond of the romance on paper even though the chemistry sold it. The Shalka Doctor appearance was very cheeky but I find myself thinking about it more than the story I watched which isn’t great because I love Scream of the Shalka. Finally Ncuti and Millie are finally front and centre but I feel like I was only starting to get a grip on them as team this week, it feels like we’ve only just got out first gear, this season needed more episodes for them to bed in.

Do we know for sure that the new Tales of the Tardis is a classic episode? Everyone seems to think it’s a classic episode to do with the big bad but what if it’s a modern episode that ties into Ruby’s birth/ parentage? All I’m saying is that part of the finale has been confirmed to be set at an American diner😏

Both were excellent episodes as was this podcast. On the River point I can't imagine her and Rogue being anything but friends they would be playfull with it and just vibe.

I loved Ncuti in this story. He is so clever and fast but easy to watch. I adore the monster design. The blue one with the white whiskers is my favorite.

I liked Boom with a few reservations but overall it was tight tense script. 73 Yards on the other hand I wish I liked it but the more I think about the more it falls a part unfortunately.

I honestly think that was actually the best time zone play set. I mean all time zone play sets were crap. But for the reduced price of £10 with all those figures were decent

I found the first episode very subpar with far to much exposition. The Devil’s Cord was ok for me but felt a bit overindulgent but also not quite outrageous enough so it ended up in a weird middle ground.

My mum summed it up best: “I feel like I’ve just been inside Russell T Davies’ head for two hours”. Completely bonkers. Fun. Whimsical. I could hear him belly laughing when he came up with the twist at the end. In full reckless abandon. Just not a care in the world. Knowing it’s ridiculous but embracing it. I think every episode is going to be very different. To judge based on the first two will be very foolish in a few weeks. The first two will be the cotton candy fun fair cover and the rest will be the darkness and madness underneath the surface.

hang on, you watched the episode and thought the doctor CANT play the piano? did we see the same music battle scene?

I liked the song and that it's basically the same as the Toymaker's powers lingering to duplicate the Tardis so I am ok with it being random. Something that killed me in Space Babies was the Captain saying she's never been hugged that was just so upsetting.

The cold open open to The Star Beast was indeed because of a note from Disney, and the extra scene in Ruby Road was the snowman/policeman scene. These are because of Disney test screenings for each *premier* episode, of which we've now had two.

My big wildcard theory is that this season as a whole will be dealing with the concept of the butterfly effect and changing time. I propose that, as a consequence of this, the Doctor doesn't actually regularly radically change costumes (and hairstyles), that's a symptom of the change in timelines (so, in the version of time where episode 2 happens, 15's always worn a blue suit. In the version of time where episode 6 happens, he's always worn red velvet). I think we might have already had a glimpse of this with the sudden change from the orange shirt to the gray one at the end of the christmas special. I think it might be cool if, in episode 1, he doesn't take off his coat, it just disappears between shots. All of this is to say, I think it might be a mean trailer trick to have a scene from the finale or something where they flash back to an earlier episode, and have the Doctor wearing his costume from the finale in that scene, and then use that flashback version of the scene in the trailer so we assume that that scene's from the finale instead of a different episode, and our theories about the shape of the season are all wrong. Quite a lot of shots in the trailers look like they're from the finale, don't they?

I'd love it if Ruby was an alien, we don't get many alien companions in the revival. So far we've only had Nardole.

This series has been absolutely incredible from start to finish! I can't wait to see what you do next!

this is my second watch of this film after losing two family members in my life, this was a really good representation of someone going through grief and remembering all the good times and the bad times and the quote that both characters said stuck to me, "i'm just putting it to one side". Really well done with making this film, I can't wait for more of your future content especially doctor who content with series 14/season 1 coming very soon.
